As busy as a bee can be!

MaggieD and I have been today. Off sharp this morning to get some autumn colour from the garden centre then back to apply said autumnal colour. At least, MaggieD did the garden work while I carried on with re-organising the garage. Some considerable work with hand and power tools was badly required to neaten up the storage of ladders and the routing of power for tools and, of course, model railways.
In the middle of all this, we took the pups for a run in the car. Well, it is better than leaving them home alone! We took a look back up the Carron valley to the reservoir to see what was happening. We parked the car in a small lay-by as we had heard the call of an osprey. Jumping out of the car, MaggieD spotted one and it was carrying a rather substantial fish. She grabbed a quick shot which, although not good enough for a blip, showed a beautiful large trout. One well fed osprey! We spotted a further three birds but none was tempted to dive for their suppers. While sweeping the skies for ospreys, we also had a look at the roadside flora and the bugs buzzing around. Which is where I spotted this buzzy little character.
Back home, evening meal, walk the dogs, tidy up the garage and I think I have earned a cup of tea and a sit-down.
