André Rieu weekend day 2 of 3

Concert day today!
We left Slenaken after an extensive breakfast and went to Maastricht via a beautiful sightseeing route. The cars were parked at the reserved QPark near our hotel in the city center of Maastricht.
Bags were dropped off and into the city we went.
Coffee and Limburgse Vlaai was had and the afternoon was filled with shopping.
Peter and I had another mission. We wanted to meet Pierre Rieu, André’s son, to talk about our bus tour plans for 2026.
We went to the venue on the Vrijthof in the end of the afternoon when members of the orchestra were arriving one by one. We waited a while and then saw Pierre suddenly walking towards us.
I called his name, we shook hands and had a nice talk. He immediately knew who we were, and was enthusiastic about our plans. Some photos were made and off he went.
Great!!! Another box ticked.

We had dinner at 16:30 and by 19:30 we were all dressed up and went to the Vrijthof to ourselves submerge in all the festivities. It didn't take us long to get. picture with Los Del Rio. Haha. Heeee Macarena!!

Our tickets were the very best.Premium tickets, in the middle of the 5th row. Right in front of the stage.
The concert started at 21:00 and lasted until way after midnight. See the extra section for some photos. Maybe I uploaded a bit too much.

After the concert we went to the OL Vrouweplein for a drink and by 2:30 we’re rolled into our hotel beds. Still buzzing!
