Sunday morning

Had an early walk with Tate’s dog while it was still cool and very foggy. The sun came up over the ridge and the fog melted swiftly.

A later walk with the guys where I snapped the flowers which were plentiful. My boy never does any weeding so everything just grows in spite of him. The pink fence roses smell so good along the creek. There was also Queen Anne’s lace, chicory and a few lilies. It looked like the deer were enjoying some of the lilies.

The white flowers against the blue sky are elderberry. There are bushes all around the yard so unless some weather thing happens I should be able to get plenty of berries for jam. Probably around the end of August or early September.

Heading home tomorrow to the hot SC summer.
