The bug that won the day!

Had a brilliant day's reccy with Roger for Saturday's fungus foray. We found lots of great stuff - all types of wildlife and enough fresh fungi around to ensure the foray will be very worthwhile, including lots of interesting and beautiful ones. I had fully intended to blip fungi , maybe even a collage, but in the end, I couldn't resist the colours in this shot - a green shield bug nymph 5th instar on a cluster of rowan berries. I wish I'd had my macro with me, but a cropped capture from my kit lens was still not so shabby, I thought.
