Goodbyes

Katies big sister leaves school today. Our families have been, well, family for a long time and their journey at Wells started the same year. We are part of Wells because of the Avenells. They were our childcare bubble during the pandemic so they could visit Katie at school and have her to stay in breaks. They have formally been Katie's guardians for the last 4 years. The girls chose to be in the same house, each telling school "thats my sister... we are family". 

Today Nia leaves. 

The Cathedral service to end the school year and send out the leavers is beautiful. Then a huge lunch in the marquee and on the lawns of the school. Before the madness of the car pack. We did okay, she was only 20 minutes after the house was meant to close. And she wasn't last. Somehow, I got it all in even though the instruments continue to multiply. We've added a bass clarinet to the collection for the summer!
