"Chinese Halloween"

I am sorry this is so poor quality, a mix of it being dark and me being to far away.

After a lovey meal in the tiniest of restaurants, my hubby and I went to the bar opposite to have a glass or two of something.

We watched these women come out of the apartments behind them and proceed to create a fire and make some offerings, but as we watched the fire became larger and larger, with ash flying everywhere ( including landing in our drinks!) We asked the bar owner what was going on, and she said that in the Chinese calendar, today was the equivalent of Halloween in the UK.

Now, the question is, how would you feel if that was your lovely car in close proximity?

After the ladies finished, they did empty a bottle of water on the ashes, then dropped the empty bottle on the soggy ashes and left!

A few minutes later, the couple who owned the car emerged from the same restaurant we had been in, got in and drove off, seemingly unaware of the excitement!
