A Crafty

………………………………away day with the WI girls.

The event was organised by the Northumberland Federation and we were in the company of ladies from 8 other WIs…from North Shields in the south to us in the north and Thropton up in the hills! We had a fun day…mostly laughing at our own blunders! Our first project was a felt teddy bear keyring…cute and colourful but not entirely teddy bear like, this is my effort! After lunch we did decopatch and paper cutting…I made a box and a bookmark in decopatch but ended with nothing in the paper cutting, although I brought some home to try with my better quality tools. A good day was had and the village hall in Hedgeley was a very good venue.

I picked the wee man up after I’d dropped everyone else off and he’s now here for the night…thankfully he’s finally gone to sleep!
