glow

in contrast to yesterday it has been overcast today and we have had some rain showers.   

So it is good to see my sunflowers opening up and the bees getting stuck in.

We had fun and games this morning, when the cables snapped on the garage door just as Pete was underneath it.  Luckily it didn't crash down on his head and he managed to get his hands up in time to hold it while I wedged it with the step ladder.    
Simultaneously our neighbour's front door key snapped off in  the lock, trapping her and her dogs outside.    So we had a houseful this morning, waiting for  locksmiths and garage door repair folk.    All is well now but it was a chaotic few hours.      
Elsa is worn out from the excitement of having her boyfriends, Ronnie and Reggie here.
