Bassenthwaite

Had a trip over to the west of the county with The Mother. One of her friends had died and she had been very closely associated with the whole family. I had been at school with the children of the lady who had died.

Like a lot of funerals The Mother attends, it was a very joyous occasion. The lady had been admitted for a chest infection and it was discovered she had advanced stage of cancer.

Knowing she was extremely ill she had the thought to write a letter to her friends and family and died soon after.

On our way home from Whitehaven I stopped at Bassenthwaite Lake to get a blip before going into Keswick for some fish & Chips.

When I got home I got a lovely surprise. Blip had chosen one of my images to put on its Facebook Timeline. I was so chuffed!
