Frolicking foxes
The walk this morning was a little chillier (but so welcome!) starting out at ten degrees! It was so nice to feel the cool air.
I took a totally different route to normal and cut through a small wood and fields. In the long grass, a fox family were playing. They didn’t see me from a distance, and they also didn’t see me when I arrived slightly closer.
They were play-fighting, jumping out at each other, chasing each other around in the long grass and having a whale of a time. A third family member surprised these two from a bush and made them both jump!
At that point I laughed and they were alerted to my presence. They looked, but didn’t run away. They played more, but into the wood rather than into the field.
It was a lovely couple of minutes, watching them making fun, without a care in the world.
I am not sure my phone camera does well with subjects far away - I have had to put a few edits in to make the image passable in a small version. Oh well - I need to start taking a camera with me more often to places, so this is a good reminder to do that!
Lots of meetings again today, but lots of things have been sorted. It is coming up to the end of the week, the weekend will have many chores and much less fun.
Our team had to cancel our attendance at a quiz tomorrow due to people being unwell or busy and the two remainders didn’t think they would know many answers.
I am looking forward to an office day and plenty of productivity tomorrow too!
