Small Copper

Had letters to post, and clothes to drop off at the clothes bank this morning so then went off for a little unplanned wander and it turned out to be a successful butterfly hunt!  Lots of them around enjoying the warmth of the sun including marbled whites, gatekeepers, painted lady, peacocks, red admiral, whites, brown argus, common blue, comma and this lovely little small copper who led me a merry dance down a pathway!   Very quiet again on the bird front but did see a lovely young yellow wagtail.

I also discovered a new path to use - I never knew it existed until I saw someone go that way on a visit last week, so today I got brave and ventured down there and found it's a very useful shortcut!!

We've also had a company round today to price up for new blinds in the rooms at the back of the house so that is now all booked up for later in the month.
