Pareidolia

I only know what pareidolia means because somebody blipped some bark a couple of months ago (I think it was davidc) and used the term - I initially thought it must be some weird dialect they speak in NE England. It’s not a black cat (that would be bad luck!) but it may be shadows, an odd shape wombat hole or the notorious Blue Mountains panther. The only reliable sighting of this mysterious feline I know of was by my brother-in-law Bob - maybe 59 can ask his opinion!
I actually took the photo to show the amazing resilience of some eucalypts. They have relatively small root balls so they blow over quite easily but if there are still some viable roots, this phenomenon occurs. We have 10 or more of these on the farm  - it creates a lovely little avenue of gum trees.
