return of the big stink

It was baking hot today, well above 30 degree C. I heard that an Amorphophallus titanum is flowering at the Botanical Garden in Berlin. After work I took the bus to check it out. Outside still felt like an oven. The flower was slightly past its best but still great to see. I wandered around the garden a bit. Enjoyed hearing the croaking and was pleased to see its source (see extra).  Looks they have finished much of the construction work we had seen the last few times we visited. It is still hot.
