Blanket
Start of July, Bonnie put her blanket in front of the fire….its not alight but rather a big hint! It’s not really cold though, we have had some sunshine and Faye came for a garden visit and was very complimentary. She said my asparagus will be seven years to wait, and she said she wasn’t hoping to be around for it! She’s just over ninety and still very lively but very stoical about the future.
Rob and I went for Shingles jabs. Rob was invited as he’s just turned seventy. I had to ask for mine, which I am entitled to, as they didn’t invite me! Huh.
I have gathered the last of the yellow rattle seed for my BIL, he just asked in time. It has taken in his meadow but needs boosting. It’s really interesting stuff and does have a genuine impact on reducing the vigour of grasses and so helping the flowers to thrive. Best planted fresh rather than bought in from a seed supplier though, so let me know if you need some!
