I took dad to the hospital today for the follow-up after his op last month. He was worried sick, but didn't really come away reassured any thanks to his consultant being away on holiday, no notes whatsoever in his records about the tests they've supposedly been doing on the bits he had removed, and him still having to wait a few more weeks yet before he can have a CT scan to check how his kidneys and newly diverted waterworks are doing.

He was told he can start driving again though. And for that alone things are looking up.
