Columbine

My volunteer columbine has been flowering happily. I have purple and white violas in the background.
I'm tired tonight. I weeded and got the bed ready for the little blackberry plants while the kids were doing their nature journals. Maybe in a couple years we'll have some actual fruit if we can keep them alive. We also walked to the park and had a scavenger hunt.

A couple things to note. I've been remiss in letting you know that the public land sale was taken out of trumps budget bill. We are safe for now. Trump did open millions of acres of land to logging though. Some in Yellowstone national park. 

Another thing of note. Mom and C put an offer on a house that they liked yesterday. It was under the asking price and they figured it would be a good starting point. Well, today they found out their offer was accepted!! C is quite depressed about having to move. I'm sure Mom is too but is so busy it probably won't hit her for a while. Now the big work will come but I'm so thrilled this is going forward.
