Stonechat
Daughter #2 and I had planned a trip to Seahouses and the Farnes, but with the National Trust closing the islands due to an adverse weather forecast, we rescheduled and made a Plan B. We enjoyed a short visit to the hide at Cresswell, before lunch followed by a walk along the dunes between Seaton Sluice and Blyth. Many small birds were seen including, whitethroats, meadow pipits, sedge warblers, gold- and greenfinches, linnets and more. This most obliging, young stonechat posed well for today's blip.
