That time of year again

This year, I persuaded a colleague to do some of the reading of names and she did a brilliant job. It was nice not to be reading throughout pretty much the whole ceremony.

It was a very pleasant day mainly consisting of graduation events, but this morning was also interesting as a few of us met with a Canadian judge interested in spending time in the law school.

When I left this evening, the law school looked like a bomb had dropped in it, as once again we had the reception in our own premises. It's a very successful solution although there will have been people occupied in the clean up process for half the evening. I must thank them. I noticed two things in McEwan Hall. A miserable display of flowers upstairs. It looks like someone's brought some geraniums in.... And the post ceremony reception upstairs has gone. The cuts are real.

Weary this evening after a couple of busy days, but there are more to come this week. This week truly is relentless. But not unpleasant.
