Waterhead at 6.47am. The best weather of the day.

I didn’t intend to be out as early. The weather forecast was for rain starting mid morning so I’d made shopping lists for Kendal.

I was up at around 3 o’clock to go to the bathroom and got a glimpse through a gap in the curtains of lights on over the road. I was still awake half an hour later when Andrew drove off (at the start of a Spanish holiday). By 4.15 I still hadn’t gone back to sleep so got up.

There was plenty of time to stop at Waterhead for a few photos before heading to Sainsbury’s. From there to M&S for the store opening and home by 9.15.

I had a sleep after lunch and then watched tennis on television.
