Painted by a friend

I’ve known this brilliant artist for a long time. She was a member of the same Gym as me and we’ve always hit it off.

She’s a terrific artist and I’ve previously bought two of her paintings. This one was at a display of her work two years ago. I loved it immediately and bought it. It was unframed. She knew where it could be well framed and we’d be in touch when it was sorted.

We lost touch. I was worried but hadn’t been able to contact her. I was very concerned.

On Saturday, a mutual friend arrived at the health club and handed me the framed picture. I hadn’t realised they were close friends and still in touch.

I was thrilled. The painting is now in pride of place in the hall and I know my friend is ok, troubled, but ok.

I’m delighted to have my picture but even more delighted to know my fears were unfounded.
