Canal Walk.

It was hot early on, so I decided to take just Rina along the shady canal bank. Ali is too old to go out in this kind of heat, even in the shade.

The canal was busy with wildlife, including a first sighting of a cormorant along there. I think the sailing club at the reservoir have stopped them from sitting on the jetty's, so maybe they are trying the canal. 

I'd only got my phone, so took Rina home, and went back with my camera.

The cormorant was still perched on the tree stump when I got back. Decided to have a play with my camera as I knew I wasn't going to be doing much in this intense heat for the rest of the day.

I regret setting the camera on 'pro capture' and high burst mode! My poor computer was crying at the amount of pictures I've sat and deleted!
