Seaside

Too hot to stay at home, so here we are at Seaside. Completely socked in with fog when we arrived at noon. We walked around town, had lunch, then checked in to our room with its balcony and partial ocean view. Splurge away, we said. By 3:00, or so, the fog had burned off and we did a lot more walking.
Really good to get away, even if settling in for two nights involves a lot of cords, our preferred coffee, pillows, and the ever-present devices. But it’s also true that food and clothes have become easier: fewer clothes and no cooking whatsoever.
