Ullswater Country Show

I and some friends from the camera club attended the Ullswater Show today - what a contrast to yesterday's weather, we had pretty clear skies, high temperatures and no rain! 


For us, the highlight of the day was the terrier racing - similar traps to greyhound racing (the first battle was to get all the terriers lined up facing the right way), they charged along a straight chasing a lure (basically a furry blanket) to a finish line. 

This little Border Terrier somehow got through a few heats, but wasn't quick enough in the final - but he had so much character - almost levitating himself along the track!
