The school run

This is Monday 30June

Today we took Violet to school and picked her up on an extremely hot day as we are currently experiencing a heatwave.She is wearing sports clothes, the school's concession to the heat, plus her hat and at the beginning of the day plenty of sun cream!
It seems that either we have to have a heatwave, or grey chilly days, nothing in between: never those warm Summer days when it isn't too hot.  Or maybe I just think that as I seem to have lost the ability to regulate my temperature.  I quickly get too hot and stay that way, no matter what I do or where I go.

In other news: it was the first day of Wimbledon today, the hottest ever first day on record!
