Doves or mosquitos?

Let me explain my cryptic title. I travelled today to the nearby inner Brisbane suburb of Coorparoo for a (minor) medical consultation. The day was sparklingly clear, with an intensely blue sky. Immediately opposite the place I was visiting was the Coorparoo State School. Which, naturally, I photographed. Later, inevitably, I googled the school, hoping to find a reference to the intriguing 'turret' on the roof top. I found more information about fine detail of the building than I needed, but nothing about the turret. I did find a discussion about the origin of the name Coorparoo, which is said to refer either to a place of mosquitos or the sound of the gentle dove. I rather hope the second of the two is the more accurate.
