A good journey
When we arrived a Lockerbie to catch the train to Carlisle and a connection to Euston, we discovered that all trains between England and Scotland had been cancelled due damage caused by a fallen tree. The person in charge of the railway station arranged for us to take a “stand by” taxi to Carlisle (paid for by Trans-Pennine) which meant we managed to make the connection, which in itself was pretty amazing as nearly all the trains to London from Carlisle had been cancelled. We are now staying with my sister in Dorking. What amazing service.
