A hot day

I was up early, in this hot weather I don't sleep very well. I decided to take Xena out early for a run through the woods while it was not too bad, so we were in the woods by 7am and it was very pleasant. 

Later I met a friend in Cobham for a coffee and catchup, she lost her husband to cancer last summer and it was good to see she is coping as well as she can. It was so hot we both had iced lattes, a good choice in this weather.

Xena had another very short walk later on but it is too hot to do much walking today.

I am about to get the train to London to meet Gavin, we have a corporate function that we have been invited to. It is at the V&A where we are having a private viewing of the Cartier exhibition, which I am very much looking forward to, although I am dreading the train and tube to get there as it will be extremely hot at 32C, I am sure the heat on public transport on days like this exceeds health and safety requirements!
