Tone control

After a few hours work I think I can see positive progress. The carving has had several washes in two different acrylic black paints and two different whites. Until today black was black and white was . . . well you get the idea. Only taken me 60 odd years to find out I was wrong.!!

Two tricks to work on now -
How to get the white(ish) wing markings onto the black(ish) wings and
How to get the red(ish) colouring onto the back of his neck/head.

Still, we all need a challenge or two . . .
