Have you ever spotted these?
Turns out that these are benchmarks and there are at least 100k of these in the UK, marking elevation from sea level. I had heard of them as I have A level Geography as well as doing geography in my first year at university. However, I wasn’t sure of all the ins and outs about them.

Thanks to Martin for letting me know about their blipping potential, although, I ended up with my eyes glued to the walls by the pavements looking out for them!
While the rest of Europe is baking, including London, with temperatures heading towards the 40 degrees centigrade, we are luckier up here, as it’s looking to be a gentler mid 20 degrees centigrade. I feel sorry for the tennis players on the opening day of Wimbledon.
