Lobster pot
Today Julian needed the car to join his colleagues and some of the workshop participants who were still in Edinburgh . The had decided to go to Blackness, visit a distillery and/or the cast. I was rowing so Julian dropped me in Portobello on his way.
The rowing was good but hard work. The wind was really strong so, despite this being "the long row", we only stayed a bit over an hour rather than the full 90 min. Then. I rushed to get a us to Waverley, a took a train to Blackness. I messaged Julian to say that I was on the train and gave him my ETA but he didn't see my message straight away and by the time I got to Blackness, he had ordered food and started eating, so eventually, one of his colleagues came to pick me up at the station. It was almost mid-afternoon by then and I was really hungry, and not best pleased with Julian, though I can now see his side of the coin a bit better. The pub is very quirky and has a lovely beer garden, do we sat there and I ordered lobster and chips which seems to be there speciality - it was really nice and I felt much better afterwards. We stayed there chatting for well over an hour while some members of the group, went to visit the castle. Then had a final round of drinks before going back home.
