Sowthistle Spearhorn

A slightly more unusual hoverfly which I have photographed once before, a Verrall's spearhorn on sowthistle. 

Mish and I went to my daughter's for a barbecue this afternoon to hear about a posh wedding that she, my son-in-law, granddaughter and her boyfriend went to in London yesterday. They're off on holiday together to Greece tomorrow.

Loved local lad Rod Stewart at Glastonbury. The poster Nans for Rod made me smile. Glad he included Young Turks, one of my favourites. I sang along to Sailing which closed his set. We've sung it as a family many times at sailing club events and whilst sailing.
