Daylight moth
I was actually looking for bees to photograph this afternoon, when I noticed this creature which I had never seen before on some lavender. It was too big to be a bee and it appeared as a fuzzy grey blob moving very fast and with an orange bit on each side. Because it was flying in daylight, was hovering while feeding and had orange bits, I think it was a humming bird hawk moth. Can anyone confirm or correct this?
