Mosaic mirror - before grouting

Today's workshop at The Arienas Collective involved making the mosaic surround of this mirror and this photo shows it before it was grouted. Tomorrow or another day I will blip it once it's had its final clean up after grouting. I had a not very happy experience of making a mosaic a while ago and thought I would try it again in a different setting and with a different tutor and I'm glad to say that things went much better. I wasn't the slowest today, and in fact we all finished - the tutor made sure that happened which was great as I have a bad habit of not finishing things off, they tend to lie about in the bag they came home in. I still haven't grouted the mosaic dove that I made in the previous workshop, but maybe I will now manage to do that - it really wasn't that difficult. 

It was a lovely sunny day so after I got home I went out onto the back green and B soon came out which I was very glad of as I hadn't seen her since before I went away to my nephew's wedding last weekend.
