wild flag iris

Took a wander down by the pond this morning and finally found a few of the purple flag irises....lots of yellow ones but i hadn't seen the purple ones!

Sat by the pond and had a wonderful chat with my friend Karen in Muskoka.   

Started glazing the uglies today....and then had a delightful visit with a lovely young couple who have just moved to the island.   They had such a warm and quiet way about them, and we talked about the potential of some exchange of work in the garden for some time in the pottery!   Could be a good arrangement, we'll see.  I'm feeling more open to having some assistance perhaps.....constantly trying to figure out how it might be helpful to cultivate a young and strong person to work with me in the pottery!
