A Long, Hard Slog ...

When we drove to the New Jersey Motorsports Park from our place in Connecticut on Thursday for a weekend of racing, our GPS estimated that it would be a drive of approximately 3 hours and 42 minutes. However, with a tractor trailer overturned on the upper deck of the George Washington Bridge, and spilling its load of diesel fuel all over the highway, our trip took the better part of 8 hours.

Coming back to Connecticut this morning, we were hoping not to repeat that ordeal. We were lucky ... this time the trip only took about 6 hours! It was a lot of work, staying cheerful whilst sitting in bumper to bumper traffic, I can tell you.

I'm happy to be home!
