Fiddlenecks
This morning I went over to Cromer for my normal Sunday morning walk and to see the lifeboat practice. Last Sunday on the drive over, I spotted two fields full of fiddlenecks at the turn off to Sheringham. It was too late to stop for a photo, but I thought I'd stop next time (although I was beaten to the photo by GracieG the other day). Fiddlenecks are in the borage family and seem to be used quite often round here as a cover crop as green manure. They look spectacular en-masse, and definitely attracts lots of pollinators. A lovely walk at Cromer and sunnier and warmer than forecast on the Met Office app. I did get several nice photo, but preferred to give the Fiddlenecks centre stage. Thankfully not as hot today, but that suited me fine and let me sit out reading the paper late afternoon and get two lots of washing done and dried outside.
