To say it is a
beautiful morning does not
do the day justice

I was out the door just after 5. I drove across the bridge and started up Rose Hill Road from the north end. It's a climb up above the city through ranchlands and open range.

Someone's lovely steed was pacing along the fence. I rolled down my window and we had a chat.

I stopped for wildflowers along the road near the summit. Then I caught a song bird belting out a melody across the grasslands.

Cattle were in abundance. They peered at me over the fences, peeked at me through the trees and stared at me from their range.

I found a raptor perched on the roof of an old shed. It was looking out over the grasslands facing into the sun.

On the downhill run to the Merritt Highway, I paused to get a shot of the edge of the city beyond the grasslands. My last shot was the tops of my mountains seen through the Aberdeen hills.

I was back home before 7 with no particular plans for the day. I'm sure a nap will feature in the afternoon.
