So many shades of green
This is the other end of the oat field across the road. Most of it is growing like never before, but the low part is really suffering from too much rain and is light green. The barley behind the hill is worse, with poorly growing light green patches even on hillsides. Not a big loss, if the rest will grow as well as it looks now, but less rain before harvest would be nice for several reasons.
There was five millimetres of rain the night before and more coming the next night.
The rake is finally progressing. We started assembling the gearcase last week and continued now, and Jussi welded some cracks in the frame. The next step in the assembly are nuts on the end of the main shaft, but the old ones looked bad, so decided to get new ones on Monday. It may be ready by the time it's needed!
