Beauty is all around us.

White Lace cap Hydrangeas.

The Feast of The Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The Feast Day of Saint Peter and Saint Paul.

I am glad to say it rained over night and refreshed the air and the garden.

The Mass at the Parish Church at 9am was beautiful and inspiring. Yesterday at 3pm we celebrated the patronal saints who are St Peter and St Paul. It was well attended and there was a concert brass band.
We had guest preacher Reverend Philip Barnes who had been invited from London. Afterwards there was prosecco and cakes and music. It was very enjoyable.

The temperature in the living room is 23.2c and pleasant. I am trying not to worry about tomorrow. It is forecast to be 26c here and 33c in the South East where my family live. Heaven help them.
Fortunately Paul recently bought us two good floor standing fans. That will help us stay cool.
Sitting with my feet in a basin of cold water helps too.
Holly and Hunter are good at finding shade in the garden.

Paul dug a big hole and planted our new Sweet Briar rose. It is very thorny, but when it flowers, it will be beautiful and the birds will enjoy the orange rose hips in the Autumn.

The ice cream van is playing his melodic tune in the neighbourhood as I listen to Songs of Praise. It is from Bradford, the City of Culture for 2025. The hymns are superb. Aled Jones is presenting it.

A relaxing Sunday listening to Vianne on Audible in the garden is my plan for this afternoon.

Enjoy your Sunday blip friends and thank you for visiting my site today.
