Waiting

I finally made it to Nelson after spending many hours waiting here.  At least I was first in line!  This is the St Arnaud/Tophouse turnoff.  Main road still closed.

Those cars lined up in the distance are locals.  That is the only spot in about 30kms that had internet.  People were showing up, hanging around about 20 minutes then driving away.  While I was waiting I recognised a number of vehicles returning for a second or third time.  Internet is such a major expectation in our lives nowadays. 

Part of the problem I was waiting to clear was a bridge washout which took the fibre cable with it.
