Cake with old friends

Today I visited an old friend with another friend. We met 6 years ago when we were pregnant with our first children. Between the 3 of us we have 8 children, so it's been a busy time. Although we only get together once a year now as one has moved away it was magical watching the children all play beautifully together. They don't really know each other but somehow there's a bond that says that they've known each other all of their lives.

Debs makes cakes. Scrummy cakes. She makes patchwork quilts & knits. I like her! Here's the cake she made for the children, fortunately she cut it so there were 3 big slices left for us...yum....
