Exhibition Standard

Thank you for your concerns. I'm well on the road to recovery now.

My first allotment trip after the holiday is always a joy, but today was extra, super duper special because, there, under the netting, in JUNE, was the incredible, completely perfect cauliflower! Again, in JUNE. I also picked a turnip, IN JUNE!

Cauliflowers are difficult to grow. They bolt easily, they get eaten by bugs, and the discolour. This perfect specimen made me smile so much. As I left the allotment, 3 people stopped me to comment on it, one saying it was exhibition standard! Well, I feel like I birthed another child, I'm so proud.
