Everything in the Forest is the Forest

Jumped on the train to go to see Clare Hewitt’s exhibition at the Impressions Gallery in Bradford and to attend their Photo Futures symposium on sustainability in photographic practice. Thought provoking presentations and discussions, and the exhibition was great. It’s on until 23/8 (and is then touring to other venues around the country) so if you’re in the area I would highly recommend it.

Several very varied pieces of work, from large format pinhole exposures, camera traps, lumen prints to paintings with oak gall ink. And a fascinating textural handmade book on handmade mushroom paper, screen printed with oak gall pigment.

But it’s been a busy week, so I slipped away before the drinks reception and caught an earlier train home.
