An Irish Affair
W had quite a busy day - gardening club in the morning, a trip to take Husky to the local Husqvarna centre - he's going to be serviced whilst we're away - and some admin.
I had a more laid back day. I did do a short session on the static bike, but then spent the afternoon in the sewing room. I sewed 108 squares, each just 1½ inch square, together into 12 squares that are 3½ inches square. In extras, the photo I took to try to ensure I sewed them as laid out - though I still managed to make a couple of errors, but decided they were good enough.
In the evening, we went in to Wexford to see a musical. An Irish Affair tells the story of the Fethard-on-Sea boycott. It's a local story, a local production, many local members in the cast, but really well done - it's a great story, great songs, deserves a wider audience. Sir Tim Rice (executive producer) was there to introduce it at the beginning, and Stuart Brayson (writer of music and lyrics) is the guy in the flat cap saluting the cast at the end.
