Matt conquers the Ardeche

A quiet day on the Ardeche. Just us and several hundred other people on kayaks. Nevertheless it's a spectacular spot.

Here's Matt, a friend I've had since the Year dot, who we met up with for a few days.

He's a perfect friend, bar some occasional grumpiness (he may read this so I'm pointing this out!).

He beat the Ardeche but the river had the last laugh - delivering a bit of D&V (well at least V) the next day.
