Path beside the River Bladnoch.....
Today after the Spinners and Weavers meeting in Wigtown I decided on my way home I'd go for a wee walk along by the Bladnoch and a bit of en plein air with my paintbox......apart from not being able to SEE the river as the path goes through woodland on either side....which I though a bit of a swizzz...I mean its a walk beside the RIVER...anyway.... with the sun shining I took some pictures of the inky black lade parallel to the footpath with some nice contrasts......got back to the bridge and sat down to discover I'd left my water behind......so no painting..... and the river was unreachable...bank too high so sketched it and rushed home and finished it from memory. .......then cut the dreaded grass which took me two hours and now looks as if I've raped and pillaged it.......oh well. I think I need a new mower...the weeds get it again tomorrow !!!!!
