Domestic plumbing
We walked with A & J today up to the Revenge Stone and on to a cairn with a bees' nest in it, where we picnicked. On the way back, we dropped in to friends Vicki and Grant, and had a cup of tea. This amazing water feature is all Grant's work, diverting a small spring that was running under part of the house when they bought it 20 years ago, and using stone from a shed that fell down (which used to be top right of the picture). He is a most skilled dry-stone waller! Lichen has grown on it rapidly, so it looks like it's been there for a hundred years or more! And those natty little box hedges. Could be in a stately home!
