Chicory!!!

I seem to remember having to eat chicory in every salad we had - pretty much every day, however Mum insists it was so expensive and hard to get that it was only occasionally, as a treat(?).

So, today, in France, I bought Mum a chicory. As a treat.

Have to say that I tried a bit and it wasn't as bad as I remembered. Heidi loves it. So you know what to get her for her birthday!
