If you can't beat them...

Red Squirrel kit ( Sciurus vulgaris )

I had better start by apologising.  Now we seem to have a squirrel as a regular visitor I am afraid he is likely to crop up in blips often.

Today we went to our supplier in Carlisle for consumables for the Lodge.  After lunch at Toby Carvery we started a search for a green kettle to go with the new kitchen at the lodge.  We tried the two most likely shops no luck.  Rant coming!   Why oh why when you search the internet for a specific shop and a specific town don't they show the stock they keep not the stock that is available nationwide.  Rant over.

When we got home the squirrel appeared.  We saw him twice during the afternoon.  One time he made an emergency evacuation when a woodpigeon came zooming in.  Of my shots I prefered this classic squirrel pose as he (we are fairly sure he is a he) tucked into the sunflower seeds on one of the bird feeders.
