Team Turkey
After all the recent rain, last year's brown stalks are at last being overtaken by green as the prairie comes to life. This year seems to be the turn of white penstemon to show first and it is everywhere. Even a few yellow flowers and one or two purple coneflowers are coming on.
Over in the marsh, a group of wild turkeys were feeding. Looks like two females and young. I haven't seen any males this year.
Also saw a young deer, monarch butterflies and a song sparrow. A comfortable evening for a change although still near 80°F.
